TheCconnects: Can you tell our readers a little about your professional journey & how did you come to your current role/position?
Mantra Ankit Patel: Entrepreneurship and starting your own business sounds a lot cooler than the actual work. I was 15 years old when I had no clue what I would do ahead in my life when it came to a career, I came across a course a summer school course where in they would teach entrepreneurship and business before I enrolled for it as a normal child. As and when I went through the course I had to learn many more details about business management and how would it work.
Then, the hardest part was starting my own business alone. But my idea was a lot stronger than I thought because it focused on providing education at the lowest rates to the neediest people and helping them start their businesses as well in just 45 days.
I partnered with an African company and then we together started getting students and distributing the course in more than six African countries which you are also doing right now.
TheCconnects: Who has influenced you the most in life and why?
Mantra Ankit Patel: My family is the reason why I am here right now also, my school (Apple Global School) and my teachers were something just more than important for me in my entire journey also giving equal credits to schooloffuture being my summer school who taught me and gave me good exposure. Even my friends have been great allies to me when it came to writing essays on me for submitting them to magazines in the beginning or supporting me mentally as well.
TheCconnects: What are the biggest challenges you have faced in your life & how did you overcome them?
Mantra Ankit Patel: The biggest challenge that I ever faced was myself. Sometimes facing myself after doing or initiating certain projects was also a challenge.
TheCconnects: What lessons you have learned from your professional career?
Mantra Ankit Patel: The biggest lesson learned by me till now is – “there is nothing wrong in trying for one last time when you want to give up”
TheCconnects: What do you see as the biggest challenge for brands in the digital space?
Mantra Ankit Patel: The biggest challenge that brands face digitally is fake enthusiasm shown in the starting by keeping in mind only the profits not the work which had to be done.
TheCconnects: Do you have any advice for those who want to become a chief executive officer?
Mantra Ankit Patel: Becoming a chief executive officer is hard. But, taking the initiative to start and consistently execute the ideas is even more challenging. If one is also thinking to start and have bigger ambitions, then one must start with solving a problem or thinking of a product that is needed and can play an important role in people’s. The idea should not necessarily be revolutionary, but it must be different.
