Koushik Saha – Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Content Prism Professional Interview

TheCconnects: Can you tell our readers a little about your professional journey & how did you come to your current role/position?

Koushik Saha: I guess looking back now I can say, for me rather than wanting to be something, in particular, mostly it has been what every effort turned out to be eventually. It is beautiful how things take shape into something completely different or unexpected if we just allow it. I started my professional journey from the very base in 2019 as a content writer. I got recognition within the workspace but after a few months, I did quit.

I used to be very passionate about anything creative particularly acting at the time. Putting the pieces of the puzzle together, the following year I started my own startup. For me, it used to be like if I can understand the minds of the people I am working with and succeed every single day to the fullest extent, then that is it. That is a success. In 2021 the startup took the form of a company with the association of our most talented co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Content Prism, Arundhati Biswas.

Every individual with whom I associated, my employees, writers, everyone had been under my shed always. So my position in the company as Chief Executive Officer came naturally.

TheCconnects: Who has influenced you the most in life and why?

Koushik Saha: There had been so many people who have influenced me at different times. It took time to figure out which direction I am intending to walk. However, I am a huge fan of Sadhguru and his organization Isha Foundation. The yogic ways have given me clarity more than anything else.

TheCconnects: What are the biggest challenges you have faced in your life & how did you overcome them?

Koushik Saha: I think for me as my role demands it is like walking through darkness mostly and still somehow being able to find a path and shine light so that others can walk on it. Hence, challenges are a constant companion. However, I managed to make it work so far whatever the situation.

TheCconnects: What lessons you have learned from your professional career?

Koushik Saha: It is not just about vision or balance, accountability is equally important.

TheCconnects: What do you see as the biggest challenge for brands in the digital space?

Koushik Saha: Grabbing anyone’s attention for a minute is the biggest challenge for brands even in the digital space. Being innovative through whatever medium undertaken is the key and keeping it honest, realistic yet unique will surely bring long-term results and ring the right bells.

TheCconnects: How your product/solution can help to resolve the pain points of your customers?

Koushik Saha: Content Prism strives on providing excellent content solutions to its customers and clients.

TheCconnects: Do you have any advice for those who want to become a chief executive officer?

Koushik Saha: Being contemporary is the goal. Having a sense of direction is absolute. Foundations for whatever you are building should be strong enough and rooted to support the entire build-up.

TheCconnects: How do you manage your business’s resources?

Koushik Saha: Resources are mostly finite. I choose to manage the resources in a way that develops a system for self-sustenance addressing the issues at hand and the range of uncertainties the business may face.

TheCconnects: How has your company approach evolved over the last few years?

Koushik Saha: I do not come from a business background hence every new turn feels exciting in a way. Of course, the basics of operating remained more or less the same throughout. However, if I have to pinpoint, initially I used to focus more on the people who were working with me. The goal was primarily to enable students to have professional working experience and earnings along the way. I believed that a group of talented individuals if directed in the right manner, can work towards creating something valuable. With time my approach changed significantly, I focused more on ensuring excellence in the services that we provide, prioritizing it primarily. The individuals who are deserving will manage to stick around anyway.

TheCconnects: How would you characterize the working culture at your company?

Koushik Saha: The working culture within Content Prism is something I do brag about a lot. It is infectious in a way. With time this has become more balanced. We already have people working with us from different parts of the country and coming from very different backgrounds. Our employees are comfortable, above everything else in this working space. I think this kind of atmosphere is very much needed for functioning and developing especially when we are working in a creative field. Sometimes, I even refer to Content Prism as Hotel California, “You can check out any time you like”

“But you can never leave!”

TheCconnects: What distinguishes your business?

Koushik Saha: I feel the business is an extension of who we are. I am working towards making Content Prism a professional home for Content Writers. It is not only the ideals and goals, a business is the people too. I have always taken a very personal approach to my work, for which I have been most appreciated and that is what distinguishes our firm from others.
