Founders & CEOs, BSIT Software Services Pvt. Ltd.
TheCconnects: Bhanu and Sharada, it’s a pleasure to host both of you together. Your leadership journey stands out in India’s IT ecosystem-not just for scale, but for the clarity of purpose behind it. From starting with just two systems in 2015 to building a globally trusted digital transformation company, your story reflects resilience, vision, and execution. To begin, could you take our readers through your individual journeys and how BSIT came into existence?
Bhanu Chandar Garigela:
My journey has always been shaped by curiosity and responsibility. Coming from an engineering background, I was deeply fascinated by how technology could solve real-world problems at scale. Early in my career, I worked across product management, enterprise systems, and leadership roles, which gave me a panoramic view of how businesses struggle with inefficiency, legacy systems, and lack of automation.
In 2015, I felt strongly that India needed technology companies that didn’t just build software, but build outcomes. That conviction led to the birth of BSIT Software Services-not as a business experiment, but as a long-term mission to create future-ready digital ecosystems.
Sharada Nenavath:
For me, the journey was unconventional. I come from a legal and advocacy background, deeply rooted in governance, compliance, and human rights. That perspective shaped my understanding of responsibility, ethics, and accountability-values that are often overlooked in fast-growing tech companies.
When Bhanu and I decided to build BSIT together, we were clear that growth would never come at the cost of integrity. My role has always been to ensure that while we scale technologically, we also remain grounded legally, socially, and culturally. BSIT is as much about people and purpose as it is about platforms and products.
TheCconnects: Every strong leader is shaped by influence. Who played the most defining role in your lives?
Bhanu Chandar Garigela:
I’ve been influenced by mentors who believed that leadership is about responsibility, not authority. But beyond individuals, my biggest influence has been failure. Early setbacks taught me humility and forced me to listen more-to clients, teams, and even critics. That listening culture is now embedded in BSIT.
Sharada Nenavath:
My influence comes from grassroots leadership-people who work quietly for change without recognition. As an advocate and public leader, I’ve seen how policy, law, and technology intersect. That exposure taught me that progress must be inclusive. At BSIT, that belief translates into ethical delivery, transparent governance, and long-term partnerships.
TheCconnects: Scaling an IT company globally is never easy. What were the toughest challenges you faced in the early years?
Bhanu Chandar Garigela:
The biggest challenge was trust. As a young company with a small team, convincing enterprises and government bodies to trust us with mission-critical systems was daunting. We overcame that by doing something simple but powerful-delivering exactly what we promised.
Another challenge was talent. We invested heavily in training young engineers, even when it slowed us down initially. Today, that investment defines our culture and delivery strength.
Sharada Nenavath:
From my side, balancing speed with compliance was challenging. Many startups ignore structure in the early days. We chose the harder path-strong legal frameworks, transparent contracts, and ethical operations. That discipline is the reason BSIT is trusted today across multiple geographies.
TheCconnects: What are the most important lessons your professional journey has taught you?
Bhanu Chandar Garigela:
Three lessons stand out:
- Technology must serve business outcomes, not vanity innovation.
- Culture scales faster than strategy-get it right early.
- Long-term credibility always beats short-term growth.
Sharada Nenavath:
I would add one more-leadership is about accountability. Whether it’s employees, clients, or society, every decision leaves a footprint. Conscious leadership is not optional anymore.
TheCconnects: In today’s crowded digital space, what do you see as the biggest challenge for brands?
Bhanu Chandar Garigela:
The illusion of digital transformation. Many organizations adopt AI, cloud, or automation without aligning them to business processes. The result is expensive systems with little impact. The real challenge is integration-technology, people, and processes must move together.
Sharada Nenavath:
From a governance perspective, data ethics and compliance are becoming critical. Brands that ignore privacy, transparency, and accountability will struggle to earn long-term trust.
TheCconnects: How does BSIT address these challenges differently?
Bhanu Chandar Garigela:
We don’t sell tools-we design solutions. Whether it’s AI-driven automation, ERP systems, cloud architecture, or enterprise platforms, every engagement starts with understanding the client’s business model.
Our solutions help organizations:
- Reduce operational costs
- Improve decision-making through analytics
- Scale securely and sustainably
- Launch digital products faster
That’s why we’ve successfully delivered over 500 deployments globally.
Sharada Nenavath:
We also ensure that every solution is compliant, secure, and future-proof. Sustainability in technology isn’t just about systems-it’s about trust.
TheCconnects: When you step away from work, how do you unwind?
Bhanu Chandar Garigela:
I enjoy reading about leadership, product innovation, and emerging technologies. I also mentor young professionals-helping them navigate careers gives me immense satisfaction.
Sharada Nenavath:
I stay connected to social initiatives, legal awareness programs, and community work. That keeps me grounded and reminds me why responsible business matters.
TheCconnects: Finally, what advice would you give to young entrepreneurs entering the IT and digital services space?
Bhanu Chandar Garigela:
Don’t chase trends-chase problems worth solving. Build depth before scale. And remember, reputation compounds faster than revenue.
Sharada Nenavath:
Build with integrity from day one. Success without ethics is temporary. If your foundation is strong, growth will follow naturally.
