Dr Sumana Talakokkula: My professional journey has been driven by a deep passion for women’s health and a commitment to excellence in healthcare. After completing my medical education and specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, I spent years honing my skills and gaining experience in various healthcare settings. My dedication to improving patient care and outcomes led to leadership roles, eventually culminating in my current position as the CEO and Head of the OBGYN department. Along this journey, I have been fortunate to work with incredible teams, and together we have made significant strides in advancing women’s healthcare.

Dr Sumana Talakokkula: The person who has influenced me the most is my mother. Her resilience, strength, and unwavering support have been a constant source of inspiration throughout my life. She taught me the importance of perseverance, compassion, and staying true to one’s values, which have been invaluable in both my personal and professional life.

Dr Sumana Talakokkula: One of the biggest challenges I faced was balancing my professional aspirations with family responsibilities. It required a lot of time management, support from loved ones, and setting clear priorities. Overcoming this challenge was possible because of my commitment to both my career and my family, along with the support system I built around me.

Dr Sumana Talakokkula: The most important lesson I’ve learned is the value of teamwork and collaboration. Healthcare is a complex field, and achieving the best outcomes for patients requires a multidisciplinary approach. Additionally, continuous learning and adapting to change are crucial in staying ahead in the field.
