Welcome, Sravani! It is an absolute pleasure to have you with us today. The artificial intelligence space is moving at breakneck speed, but while most of the industry has been focused on building standalone generative tools, you are taking a fundamentally different approach with Manva.ai-building an intelligent operating layer tailored for small and growing businesses. Given your mission to simplify technology and empower entrepreneurs to operate seamlessly, we truly appreciate you taking the time for this conversation. How have you been, and what is the current energy like at the Manva.ai headquarters?
Sravani Sundeep: Thank you so much for the warm welcome! It is wonderful to sit down with TheCconnects. I have been doing exceptionally well. The energy within our team right now is incredibly high. We are at a fascinating inflection point in the tech landscape where businesses are moving past the initial novelty of AI and asking practical, outcome-driven questions. Every day, our engineering and product teams are deep in conversations with merchants and small business owners, understanding their daily friction points and translating those insights into intelligent workflows. It is demanding work, but knowing that we are directly easing the operational burden for entrepreneurs makes it immensely rewarding.
TheCconnects: That shift from novelty to utility is crucial. For our readers who are getting to know you, can you tell us about your journey? What led you to step into the entrepreneurial arena and build Manva.ai?
Sravani Sundeep: My journey has always been anchored in a desire to solve real, everyday problems rather than just chasing technological trends. When generative AI took the world by storm, I noticed a striking divide. Large enterprises were pouring millions into specialized AI teams, while small and medium business owners were left completely overwhelmed.
For most entrepreneurs, running a business means wearing ten hats simultaneously-you are the marketer, the salesperson, the inventory manager, the customer support lead, and the technology administrator. The market kept offering them isolated tools: one app to write copy, another to edit photos, and a third to analyze data. But none of these tools actually talked to each other or understood the business. I realized that business owners didn’t need another generic chatbot; they needed an intelligent layer that could sit on top of their existing operations, understand context, and help them get work done. That core realization was the genesis of Manva.ai.
TheCconnects: That is a profound perspective. Building a venture that rethinks business workflows takes strong conviction. Who has influenced you the most in your life and shaped your philosophy as a founder?
Sravani Sundeep: My greatest influences have been the everyday entrepreneurs I have observed and interacted with throughout my life. Watching small business owners operate with sheer grit, navigating limited resources, and balancing multiple crises in a single day taught me what real resilience looks like. They don’t have the luxury of endless strategy meetings; they have to execute immediately to survive and grow.
Their practical pragmatism deeply shapes my product philosophy. It taught me that technology should never be built for vanity or complexity. If an innovation cannot save an entrepreneur time, reduce their anxiety, or directly improve their bottom line, it is simply noise. That human-centric perspective is what guides every architectural decision we make at Manva.ai.
TheCconnects: Transitioning AI from simple text generation to actual business execution is technically and operationally complex. What are the biggest challenges you have faced while building Manva.ai, and how did you overcome them?
Sravani Sundeep: The biggest challenge was solving the “trust and context” problem. The first wave of AI was all about generation-creating text, images, or code. But in a business setting, an AI hallucination or an erroneous action can lead to lost revenue or damaged customer trust.
We had to design an architecture that clearly distinguishes between creative suggestions and hard business facts. If a merchant asks, “How many orders did I receive today?”, the answer must come strictly from grounded business data, not probability. We overcame this by establishing our continuous five-step operational loop: Understand, Recommend, Confirm, Execute, and Measure. Crucially, we embedded a strict “human-in-control” philosophy. AI handles the heavy analytical lifting and tees up the action, but the business owner always gives the final confirmation before anything impactful is executed. That balance between automation and human oversight solved the trust barrier.
TheCconnects: You often emphasize that outcomes matter more than features. What key lessons have you learned throughout your professional career about creating genuine value in tech?
Sravani Sundeep: The most critical lesson I have learned is that features do not equal value. In the software industry, it is very easy to fall into the trap of feature bloat-adding twenty new buttons just to look advanced. But business owners don’t wake up asking for more features; they ask, “Did I save two hours today? Did I recover an abandoned sale? Did I make a clearer business decision?”
Another vital lesson is that you must meet users where they already are. Established businesses already have systems they rely on-their e-commerce stores, payment gateways, and communication channels. Forcing them to abandon everything to adopt a new platform is a losing battle. True innovation lies in interoperability-building an intelligent layer that works harmoniously alongside their existing tools.
TheCconnects: Looking at the broader ecosystem, what do you see as the single biggest challenge for brands and businesses in the digital space today?
Sravani Sundeep: The biggest challenge today is platform fragmentation and cognitive overload. Modern brands are forced to manage an increasingly scattered stack-website on one platform, inventory in another, social media across three different apps, and customer queries somewhere else. The entrepreneur ends up acting as the human API trying to glue all these pieces together.
This leads to severe context switching. Business owners spend so much time managing their software that they have very little time left to focus on product quality, storytelling, and building genuine customer relationships. The challenge isn’t a lack of tools; it is the friction of managing too many disconnected tools.
TheCconnects: How does Manva.ai specifically address this fragmentation and solve your customers’ core pain points?
Sravani Sundeep: Manva.ai acts as the unifying business assistant that bridges these silos. Instead of forcing a merchant to jump between analytics dashboards and marketing tools, Manva allows them to interact with their business naturally.
A founder can simply ask, “How is my business doing this week?”, and Manva retrieves the actual data. It then goes a step further by pointing out what needs attention-for instance, identifying an underperforming product category. From there, it suggests a targeted promotional strategy, drafts the communication, and once the founder approves it, executes the campaign and measures the return. We take the user from information to insight, and from insight to action, removing the daily operational busywork so founders can focus purely on growth.
TheCconnects: Leading an innovative AI startup requires immense mental clarity. How do you decompress, and what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Sravani Sundeep: When you are building a startup, your mind is constantly problem-solving in the background, so I make a conscious effort to disconnect and reset. In my free time, I love reading-ranging from biographies of builders and thinkers to books on design philosophy and behavioral psychology. I also find that spending quiet, uninterrupted time with family and stepping outdoors helps me regain perspective. Taking a step back from the screens is essential; it clears the mental clutter and allows you to return to complex product challenges with fresh creativity.
TheCconnects: To wrap up this insightful conversation, what advice would you share with aspiring entrepreneurs looking to build or scale a business in this AI era?
Sravani Sundeep: My advice is to view AI as the ultimate equalizer, but never lose sight of human judgment. Historically, scaling a business required massive teams and substantial capital. Today, a small, agile team powered by intelligent technology can compete with industry giants.
However, do not start a company just to ride the AI wave. Fall in love with the problem your customer faces, not the technology you use to solve it. Focus on building trust, creating measurable outcomes, and maintaining integrity in your product. The entrepreneurs who will build enduring legacies in this era are not those who use the most AI, but those who integrate it most thoughtfully to serve human needs.
TheCconnects: That is a brilliant and empowering perspective, Sravani. Thank you so much for joining us today. It has been an absolute pleasure exploring your vision, the innovative architecture behind Manva.ai, and your philosophy on the future of business technology. We wish you and Manva.ai continued, groundbreaking success!
Sravani Sundeep: Thank you so much for having me. It was a wonderful conversation, and I truly appreciate TheCconnects providing such a great platform to share our journey and mission with your readers.
