Mahammad Ali – Founder of ERUM The Jewellery Studio Exclusive Interview

TheCconnects: Can you tell our readers a little about your professional journey & how did you come to your current role/position?

My journey in the jewelry industry began when I was young, watching my dad run his diamond business with passion and dedication. I was always in awe of the beauty of diamonds and the artistry that went into crafting them into stunning pieces of jewelry. After completing my education, I followed in my dad’s footsteps and established Erum Jewellers in 2017 with a vision to create high-quality, beautiful jewelry at affordable prices. Since then, we have grown to become a trusted and registered jeweler with the Bureau of Indian Standards, and our brand has become synonymous with quality and excellence in the field of jewelry-making.

TheCconnects: Who has influenced you the most in life and why?

Without a doubt, my dad has had the most profound influence on my life. He was a highly respected diamantaire and a proud member of The Mumbai Diamond Merchants Association, and his passion for the craft of jewelry-making was truly infectious. From a very young age, I was captivated by the intricate beauty of diamonds and the artistry that goes into transforming them into exquisite pieces of jewelry.

Watching my dad run his business with such dedication and attention to detail was truly inspiring, and it was clear to me from an early age that I wanted to follow in his footsteps. So, when the time came, I started my own jewelry business, driven by the same passion and love for the craft that my dad instilled in me.

I am forever grateful to my dad for being such an incredible role model and for sharing his love of diamonds and jewelry-making with me. His influence has truly shaped the person I am today, and I will always be proud to carry on his legacy in the world of jewelry.

Life is full of challenges, and I’ve certainly faced my fair share. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is starting my own business. However, I overcame this challenge by doing my research, seeking advice from others who had gone through the same thing, and working tirelessly to turn my dream into a reality.

Over the course of my professional career, I’ve learned that ethical business practices are paramount. Honesty, integrity, and transparency are key to building trust with customers and establishing a strong reputation in the industry. These values have allowed my company to stand out from the competition and earn the respect of our customers.

TheCconnects: What do you see as the biggest challenge for brands in the digital space?

The biggest challenge for brands in the digital space is standing out from the crowd. With so many companies vying for attention, it’s critical to have a strong digital presence that is both engaging and informative. Our company is addressing this challenge by using the most advanced technology in our manufacturing process, as well as VR technology to provide an immersive experience for our customers. We’ve also established a presence on global ecommerce platforms to reach a wider audience.

TheCconnects: How your product/solution can help to resolve the pain points of your customers?

Our custom jewelry solution can help to resolve the pain points of our customers by providing a personalized experience that meets their unique needs. By allowing customers to submit a rough sketch or reference picture of their desired jewelry, we can create a CAD design and share realistic pictures for approval. This ensures that the final product meets their expectations and provides a high level of satisfaction.

TheCconnects: What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to focus on researching my business and exploring new ideas for innovation. I also enjoy going on road trips and experiencing different cultures and environments.

TheCconnects: Do you have any advice for those who want to become a chief executive officer?
